If that is the case in US, what happens to a Indian Child who is kept at school 14 to 16 hrs a day ? Those children studying in higher secondary have long school hours including tutions in early hours. A typical child of 8th to 10th class who is planning for IIT goes to tutor at 5 AM and comes back at 8 AM, have breakfast and goes to school by 9AM. A lunch break of one hour at 1 PM and school continues upto 5PM. With a break of one hour again the child continues to study upto 8 or 9 PM. If he is in hostel he may start studying after his dinner break of one hour for another 2 hrs.
