This site seems to have answers that to just about every kind sWindles-based DCS* symptom I've heard of. These fixes will work in some instances, but they can only correct so much damage, and only fix certain problems.
Applying the wrong fix can easily make things worse, and you may not be able to stop a process once it begins, so understand what you're fixing, and understand the instructions, before you begin. If you can't explain the problem without using words like, "thingy", "stuff", "gadget", "shit", or "something", don't even try! Either get yourself an education, hire a professional, or risk turning your PC into an expensive doorstop/paperweight.
*DCS = Disobedient Computer Syndrome.
