    I do not wear a watch because it broke December 21, 2006 and synchronicity has been coming with more and more frequency into my life. I tried finding a watch everywhere but could not find one I liked - which is odd. So I just stopped altogether, looking.

    I read some book a few years ago stating that getting back to our natural "oneness" with God - and therefore nature - would have us doing the "correct things" at the correct time. [This was a transitional period for me.] So I now "feel" [or "listen"] to my "intuitive voice" when it is *time* to do a thing and it's gotten to be that I am no longer a slave to the cycle of time. Amazing, but true.

    Even more amazing is that when I "feel" it is time to water my plants, it always a Tuesday - which was just some arbitrary day I chose back in 2003 or so as "the day" to water my plants.

    It may seem small but to me it is significant. It is like I have programmed my internal with certain sticky notes and it remembers. When I was 7 to 10 years old I had programmed myself to wake up at a certain time on school mornings. On the nose every morning. Of course, I got older, more materialistic, more world-centered etc. So I have been trying to get back to my childhood in this area.

    Food Riots Begin

    A video [mainstream, CBS] news report on food riots beginning due to 40% increase in food prices since mid 2007. It's not only the U.S., it's worldwide. The "blame" is on a convergence of using plant material for fuel production, natural disasters and other things my ADD wasn't interested in.

    What does concern me is that this is the end of days [to 2012?] and I remember what my Mom telling me about not being able to buy food unless I got 'the mark.' Oh damn.

    The Institute of Maya Studies recognizes the significance of the up-and-coming December 21, 2012 Maya Long Count Calendar end date and the increasing public interest surrounding the possible effects of the impending alignment involving the earth, the sun and the area looking towards the Galactic Center of our galaxy. The end date culminates one of the Maya's 5,200 tun (5,125 year) 13-Baktun Great Cycle calendar "ages" and is the "seating" of the next Great Cycle. It is not the end of the world.

    Scholars disagree over some of the specific aspects of this alignment as it relates to the ancient Maya stargazers and calendar formulators. Were the ancient Maya really aware of the exact location the center of our galaxy? Were the ancient Maya astronomer priests aware of the 26,000 year cycle of the precession of the equinoxes? Why did the Maya choose this time, the time that we live in, as the "end" of their Long Count calendar, when their Classic culture played out more than a thousand years ago (around 950 AD), and they "started" this calendar cycle in 3,114 BC, more than five thousand years ago, two thousand years or so before their culture ever really began to flourish?

    But scholars are now beginning to agree that it is apparent that the ancient Maya did consciously choose the 12/21/2012 date, significant because it is a winter solstice, first as the ending of this Great Cycle and then back-calculated to determine the start date. And even if they weren't aware of the cycle of the precession of the equinoxes nor even aware of where the "center" of our galaxy is located, amazingly they did "anchor" this cycle's end date to a day when viewed from earth, our sun will rise on a winter solstice directly in front of the area of the bright band (bulge) of the Milky Way galaxy where the Galactic Center is located.

    I realize that hearing of 2012 the first time can sound new age and out there. Granted it's a "new age" concept but metaphysical scholars as well as those who study the Mayan Calandar and the ancient Mayans as well, understand the validity and significance of 2012.

    Although many people have their theories as to what may *really* happen [will the world end? Is it a physical ending or a conscious awakening of the masses with the death of ignorance?], one thing is for certain: It is an exciting time for people who understand the significance.
