Independent thinker proudly proclaiming that authority is not the truth, but that truth is the authority. Primo Levi's dictum has seldom been more fitting, "Silence is complicity". My blog is a testament to the fact that some of us were in the know and did not watch the people go under in silence. The truth must be spoken, and spoken for all to hear. I have recently expanded my blog to include some of my other interests, art, music, and science. I hope also to provide some insight into the current economic crisis, and of how some individuals can avoid a descent into the abyss that is surely headed their way. Let me finish by saying that I am an optimist who prefers to avoid disasters by exploring the dark side. My goal is to be informed. Knowing how to escape the negative world necessitates looking into the darkness in a way devoid of emotions but filled with creativity--something I learned from the East.

Police in Argentina recently found a 1-year-old homeless boy being cared for by wild cats, the Daily Telegraph reports. A policewoman on patrol noticed an unusually large cat gathering which, on closer inspection, was surrounding the boy. Doctors believe the eight cats snuggled up to keep the child warm on cold nights that would have otherwise been fatal.
