Don't like all of those sites that check the referrer and display the "Please thumb this blog up!" banner?
What I do is use the firefox extension refControl. I set it by default so that the referrer of the website is the root of the site (for this page, stumbleupon.com).
This prevents website from keeping data about where you just came from, and plus, if there is a "Please thumb this up" banner, you can just point and laugh, because everyone sees it, no matter where they came from.
Now you can get back to actually reviewing the page content, and not judging a page based solely off of one string of text.
