My mom sent me this article from a Christian site. I am stumbling it, because...it's, well, read it. I don't know what it is. I laughed a little. I smiled. I can't say what to make of it. Silliness? Miracles? Energy healing? God, I'm laughing just writing this. But these people claim they are being healed! And the campaign seems to be keeping it quiet. Here is an excerpt:

AUSTIN -- Ginny McCallum, 43, who has been confined to a wheelchair for much of her adult life, came to hear presidential candidate Barack Obama speak at the University of Texas. Afterward she found herself in a wheelchair access breezeway as Obama and his entourage exited the arena. The candidate spotted her, came over, grabbed her hand and pulled her up. She found herself standing for the first time in eleven years.

"He smiled at me and said, `Yes, you can,'" she says. "I was so stunned I didn't know what to do."



I'm already Obama all the way; it changes nothing for me. But, I smiled in reading about country white people finding a healing black presidential candidate to share stories about. Times have a-changed, afterall.

"As Britain's legion of Friday-night Vindaloo casualties will testify, too much chilli can be debilitating. But scientists from India's Defence Research and Development Organisation have discovered that the spices which make your curry burn can also bring an enemy to his knees in seconds."

It's remarkable how underappreciated the toilet is.
