This site appears to offer "free" web hosting... the free address begins on a sub-domain with the domain of "brainhub.0lx.net" - kinda goofy, I know, but free.
**Updated 11/29/2007 8:21 am EST** This actually works pretty well. I was able to use MySQL (via the CPanel with the free hosting account) to create a database for a
Wordpress installation. I tried the WP install from the CPanel included with the free hosting... it installed but is not as nice as the installer via
Go Daddy that gets it all done in one group of steps (and probably loads of other host providers) but, hey, this is free. This was good practice for me to do the famous 5-minute installation of Wordpress. If I had known more about MySQL before I began, it probably would have been a smoother, less time-consuming process.

Food Allergy Info.
**Updated 12/05/2007 8:36 am EST** Via
free-webhosts.com I found another free host,
FreeHost-Place, that claims you will get 5,000 MB or 5 GB of space but after signing up for an account I can see in my control panel that the account only has 100 MB. I submitted a ticket for a response to this discrepancy, so we'll see how they handle it. There is one more host listed there that offers the same amount of space, so that might be my better option.

I am trying a bunch of these free servers and all of them seem to have some problems in hosting Wordpress sites. I'm trying to overcome this but the whole idea of "free" is becoming a bit of a farce with these sites when they claim support for mySQL and PHP, current versions, and funky stuff happens with the features when used. For example I click on a link within Litch-Blog
litchblog1986.yourfreehosting.net [litchblog1986.yourfreehosting.net] ) and the link defaults to the free server URL, not the blog.
