Tel Aviv Yafo is the full name of the city of Tel Aviv, a name that is strongly connected with the origin of the city. Tel Aviv was founded in the beginning of the past century in the outskirts of the ancient city of Yafo or old Jaffa. Soon after its creation, Tel Aviv began to develop into a more and more richly populated, thriving city, and upon the establishment of the State of Israel, Tel Aviv and the old city of Yafo were united into one, which is were the denominative originated.

Jerusalem or Yerushalaim as it is spelled in Hebrew is one of the oldest and historically rich cities in the world and the capital of Israel. Aside from the political importance that comes with being a capital city, Jerusalem also carries enormous spiritual importance for several of the world's religions, being a holy place of pilgrimage for the Jewish, Christian and Muslim alike. Over the course of history many have tried invoking religious pretexts in order to lay claim over Jerusalem and have made it the focus of wars and sieges. In present days, representatives of each of the involved religions and cults cohabit peacefully inside the old city walls, with political claims of ownership for parts of Jerusalem remaining unresolved even today.
