Yup. Bitches...

I imagine I'm like many others who are in absolute shock over this. I've sat at my computer for the last eight days watching this story develop in utter disbelief. I feel blindsided... naked. A strange mixture of feelings course through me, but the feeling of numbness is most prevalent. Stumbleupon has made me a cuckold.

SU was so simple, so pure and so fun... Why did they do this? Money? I realize there are bigger and more pressingly immediate problems in the world, but this still hurts. It feels unnecessary.

A thousand years ago, leaving the State Fair on what I was sure the greatest night of my life, my father consoled this crying child who didn't want the spectacle of the rides and the candy and the interesting people to ever end. His words float back into my consciousness, hauntingly accurate and as appropriate then as they are now. He lovingly gazed into my soul and said, "All good things must come to an end." And like so many times before... he was right.
