These are all hogwash. I work in a grocery store and we do re-lines on the shelves all the time. They never tell me to "Put these high priced items at eye level" or "put these kids items on the bottom" Yea, most of every bakery item we get is frozen, but trained pastry chefs cost a LOT and then you'd be paying 6$ for a loaf of bread instead of 3. Impulse buys, hey if you fall for them that's your own fault, if your too stupid to stick to what you need, you can afford it, or your just a retard and its natural selection. As for Deli counters, I cant speak for other stores, but the chain I work for has the best coolers and all of the perishables are covered every night, and are replaced regularly. Corporate brands, ya some of the brand name companies make the corporate stuff, but they make it for our company, and not all of the same ingredients or components go into it. I don't even like my job, but one thing I can't stand is unsubstantiated lies. If there is any deception, its by the companies that own the stores, not the stores themselves.

You want a useful tip? Grab from the back of the milk crates, or bread aisles. All the fresher stuff is behind the older stuff. Check dates, don't grab things mindlessly.
