How it works

1. Choose a country - select a country you wish to represent in the negotiations (if you wish to play the game on your own you can choose one country after another to reach the target).
2. Explore the data - explore the data on your country's power sector emissions.
3. Set a target - you are then asked to bid in a reduction target for the global negotiations. Bids can take a variety of different forms using different baseline and measurements of effort.
4. View the results - The total effect of all the bids submitted by players are then revealed and compared to the total amount of reductions needed to 'bend the curve' in global emissions (see graph).
5. Renegotiate targets - Players should keep refining their bids until the global target is reached!
