Divided We Fail and the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television are proud to introduce the Stolen Dreams short film competition. Presenting eight films created by graduate film students at UCLA, the competition focuses on the healthcare and financial security concerns of everyday Americans. Divided We Fail is a non-partisan effort aimed at ending gridlock on these two key issues.
The UCLA students have written, directed, and produced films that dramatize situations and consequences of the health care and financial security systems in America. The films range in genre from drama to comedy, animation to documentary. All eight films are posted on this site, along with in-depth profiles of the directors and production teams.
Through October 18th, the eight films will be available for viewing and voting. Viewers are encouraged to vote for their favorite film. A panel of film industry leaders will then judge the top four vote finishers, and select the winning film. The winner will be announced on October 23rd and receive a cash prize.
