The Flora Danica is a book written and published 1761 in Danmark and it constitutes a great inventary of every plant, flower and tree growing in Danmark. It was the time of Linneus, the great Swedish botanist, and it was a time where biology and classification were tools of the Enlightement. Europe sent drawers and researchers to classify the world. The original planches are in Copenhagen and the Royal Library scanned them and made them available to the online research.
A beautiful dinner set with hundreds of parts is decorated with the flowers and plants of the Flora Danica and can still be bought in Danmark.
