An interesting discussion that poses the theory (guess?) that page rank will soon be affected not just by all the normal seo factors (keyword content, document structure, and authority links in) but also by page load speed-- that's the time between an http request and its response.
I can see that faster-loading pages would make google look better when it can serve up fast content, but really, this will not continue to level the internet playing field but rather it will upset it: what mom and pop shop needs to know what it takes to make a server hum and how to build a server farm? They shouldn't..
