Where does it go? I think it creeps with cat feet past one. Then hides. Then turns it's back on you. Oh for an hour extra.

I like it. I get far less quasi sexy girl photos and blinky lighted cards sent to me. I also get far fewer advert sites sent to me as a ' friends ' request. Since I search for info, it's not hard to do both. Naya. I have a 34 inch screen and can search two sites at once.

Mind you, the government really knows how to bring out the paranoia in people.

Should society really go this far in forcing people to provide so much sensitve information to the government?

I was a clerical worker for many a temporary employment agency. Often, I was sent to work in supposed secure government libraries and data centres with not one shred of screening and could have stolen and sold this information with no problems and no-one the wiser.

As for security guards, many are ill trained or not trained at all. How are they to know who they should pass on the information they read to? Are they responsible to the agency they belong to or the government they work for? Divided loyalties are hard.

Your passport has and never will be secure. Don't blame the staff. If they get a one hour security lecture in a year; can you really expect them to take it seriously?

Does your government hire top quality candidates and then pay them well? Provide health care and other benifits? I think not.

Do they provide staff time to take courses and update their knowledge on how terrorists operate? Guess again.

Do the guards work for a given company for more than a year or two? Do they have basic security and police procedural knowledge. I doubt it.

Who owns the security company? Has it been in buisness for more than a few years?

Do you hire your security company through the lowest bid process?

We get what we pay for.

Cheaping out on staff wages, means undertrained, lazy, and unhappy employees.

Books to read, discuss or hate. You have to read at least half of these. Fun to read peoples comments on the books chosen. 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep' is one of my favourites.

Poetry, pictures, ideas. Neat.

Lots of good sites. Some clunkers. Yahooo? Most used perhaps. Most useless for specialty searches.

I visited here on my recent trip. Take a 3-6 year old, they'll love it. If you have a class or group of 10--15 kids ask if they'll run a program for them. There is a small charge. Wheelchairs can get around here. Cafe. Bookstore.
