i didn't see the point of it. Where was the "closer"? they had it set up nicely but, it was severely lacking. The boys do a good thing for the geese, and after, the goose blood won't come off and their good action only reaps them bad horrible and tormenting times? Where they loose their childhood because all day they're up on the roof scrubbing?
Maybe I'm not getting this, maybe I'm not seeing this from the right perspective. But writers and illustrators that do this sorta stuff, just leaving the ending WIDE open kill me.
Especially when it's suppose to "mean something deep".
Overall, I say: if you're gonna write a story. Finish it. It's your story.
Plus, isn't a roof suppose to be replaced every 15-20 years..?
