As a designer, whether you work on logos, web applications, stationary or any other form of creative design, a time always come where designer block really hits you. Different people use various methods to alleviate their block, some of these include watching a movie, reading a book, go sightseeing or browse the web for inspiration and ideas.

Android is a top competitor within the smart phone operating system market, installed on hundreds of millions of devices around. With the increased use and distribution comes the need for more and more applications for the OS. Developers have spent many hours making some of the top applications currently available, some of which aimed towards graphic designers.
Photography has always been, and always will be, a blooming creative profession. The saying “A picture is worth a thousand words” lives up to its meaning and due to the truth in that age old saying, photographers are always in demand. The last article I released was a nice round up of some amazing free UI kits available for download (Read it here). After releasing the article I thought it would be nice to make a tutorial teaching you, step by step, how to make a nice, clean progress bar in Photoshop.
UI kits can be extremely helpful when working on projects that don’t provide the required amount of time to craft each individual element. Maybe you just need a few nice elements for your design or even struggle to make the type of UI elements you would like.
There are many free UI kits available, each with their own little touches and all of them made by great designers.
