The name for people that build amazing new things is "entrepreneur", which is basically French for "dreaming against the odds."

The dreamers include Bill Gates, who dropped out of Harvard to tweak an Altair, and ended up reselling DOS to IBM under the name... Microsoft.

Then there's Steven Jobs, former phone phreak who turned his hippy Zen daydreaming into... Apple Computer.

Wall Street deserter Jeff Bezos who left a major Bank, loaded up his Honda Accord and headed to Coffeeville, Seattle, to start an online bookstore called... Amazon.com
