"That 5th Direction" by Michael Lishinsky
I just finished my Kindle copy and loved every minute of this unique book. This man finds himself traveling through the 1960's with no memory. He does all these things I have no experience of, such as making his clothes from deer skin ( after skinning the deer ), black smithing and growing dope. He does not settle anywhere and wonders who am I, really ? His life takes him to India, and one day he wakes up 400 years later. I do not want to ruin it for you, so if you want the rest to be a mystery, you had better not read anymore...
OK for those that returned, he lives in this giant building in like 2400. it seemed like he lived those 3 years in about a month, and that time now makes him unable to stand living there anymore. So he and his small family leave. Only, guess what. No one has lived outside for hundreds of years. Everyone lives inside !!
They travel all the way back to what was Oregon, and find others who he finds out had the same kind of 'journey' to the past that he had. Anyway, they settle there and I am not going to tell you what happens. But the book gets better and better. I personally was very depressed about the environment before I read this book, but this story really gave me hope that it is all going to work out somehow. Yes, the book is self published, so there are a few spelling mistakes, but I found it funny as hell and a rippn' good story. Highly recommended !!
