What a delight to enter a garden like the Rose Cultivarium with more than 2,000 rose varieties! Located at the outskirts of the city of Baden, (Vienna, Austria, Europa) among the fields, the garden from the outside might not look as spectacular as the near Austrian Rosarium with its park setting and ponds and historical buildings. But even as it is still in the making (started in summer 2007) the Rose Cultivarium certainly is spectacular once you get in. For rose enthusiasts it is sheer heaven, like entering a different world. And once you realise the scope of all the roses planted, many rare ones you don't see that easily elsewhere - you just want to explore, see more roses, want to go back to some plants you have seen earlier and compare them with others you have discovered ...
