This is purportedly a review of the second volume of the collected papers of W. D. Hamilton, a great scientist who should be better known. In reality, the article is primarily a portrait of the man himself. Hamilton is the initial source of the ideas for which E. O. Wilson and Richard Dawkins are more famous.
