From the page: "Roger Holyfield Jr. was 17 when he died on Oct. 29, 2006, one day after the incident along State Street. Police Officers Todd Wagner and Matt Witt had responded to the area after a citizen complained, said Jerseyville Police Chief Brad Blackorby, in a written statement issued Tuesday.
Holyfield was sitting on the curb near a busy intersection, and was carrying a cordless house phone. He was shouting for Jesus. When police tried to subdue him, a struggle broke out. "
Goodness. A bible and a cordless phone seem like perfectly good reasons to tase somebody, don't they? Plus, the kid was about 5' 6", and weighed all of 120 lbs. I can see how the police might need to use force!
