Sotomayor's decision in Ricci was judicially conservative; it followed established case law. The Supreme Court overturned established case law by reversing the decision.

 San Diego police claim they got a noise complaint from a neighbor, and therefore coming down on a Democratic fundraiser with a helicopter, 8 police cars, and pepper spray was "completely appropriate." Truly bizarre.
