I have a lot of questions about the challenges of maintaining the pressure compared with keeping the conventional superconductors cool but even I suspect that the trade offs will be very interesting. The systems needed to maintain pressure may be much more efficient and possibly use less space than the refrigerating equipment. Now that the concept has been demonstrated, new substances needing less pressure might be discovered.
