Eggnyte the World of Web 2.0

While I am still developing the parts of this website, you can get the World of Web 2.0 logo collage I collected (screen captured at go2web20.net - thanks!).

I then plugged the design to cafepress as a small poster size (Size: 30.0" x 20.0"). You can also get any item with it there.

The hi-res JPG file (4500x3000 pixels) of the World of Web 2.0 logo collage poster (screenshots below) can be yours if you want to print it on your own. If you do want it, please make a small donation. It's the perfect gift to a web 2.0 geek! :)

Mployd offers job seekers a wealth of tools to help them land the perfect job. For those who need extra help, Mployd has resume templates and allows for multiple resumes to be uploaded, so you can select the one which best goes with each job possibility. Very handy. Employers get a good deal too, with free sign up until January.

It's very obvious where Google is going with Google Gears - they are offering developers to take their web applications available offline. Isn't that a smart and bold idea? It is! And probably the best thing since Avantgo. This will now offer users (with limited Internet connection) to sync-and-go. Google Reader now offers this functionality by the way.

Having Google Gears installed on your computer means a lot to people living in areas where Internet availability is still scarce.

Google Gears also enables the road warrior to sync common offline corporate applications like a contacts manager (Plaxo or Highrise offline), rss feeds (Google Reader), marketing/sales leads management, todo lists (tada list), project management (Basecamp), etc. This offline service has been available to PDA (personal digital assistant) users a long time ago (like Avantgo who has been offering offline content).

VeohTV Beta | ajb{log}

I was recently invited to test VeohTV (it is currently available only for Windows). VeohTV is a Joost competitor in the Internet TV space. VeohTV definitely has a better user interface than Joost. It also boasts of video networks not found in Joost such as ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX featurettes, YouTube, MySpace, Google Video, Yahoo, and others.

VeohTV's UI also allows you to search for videos and download for later viewing.

Overall, VeohTV has a competing edge to Joost because of its diverse video network and it sports an uncluttered user interface. The only thing that was annoying was the clicks and sounds that came from Internet Explorer while navigating the interface (they are basically using IE as their backend browser and Flash for their UI).

Considering Joost has been so popular and early favorite, I think VeohTV could be the only thing that can stand in their way. Joost by the way is still gearing to launch (not sure what they are waiting for).

I don't have any invites to give away this time. However, you can request for one here.
