Well, the official position of the SBC is now to "oppose sexual morality including.... homosexuality". I don't know if it was always that way. I do remember being pretty disgusted with them around '99/2000 over something, I can't remember, but it was along these lines, and I soon after joined a Southern Baptist Church where the pastor was soon thereafter elected SBC president. That was amusing to me. They weren't (generally) bad people (and you can find those everywhere), some of them are wonderful. They just thought they were right and everybody else was wrong, kinda like EVERYBODY.
So, this Texas church really doesn't belong in the convention- kinda like I didn't, and the school can do what it wants. Still, very immature narrow-minded move. Ick.
