A "zero-emission" sports car with a top speed of nearly 100mph is set to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.
This development looks really interesting. This light-weight car runs quietly on hydrogen, producing only water vapour from its exhaust. The neat thing from my point of view is the replacement of some heavy batteries with a bank of relatively light ultracapacitors aligned down the center of the car. Whereas hybrid cars can normally reclaim 10% or so of energy from braking, the makers of this one are aiming for 50%.
Hydrogen isn't a problem-free solution - nothing is - but I reckon that lots of good stuff will come out of this effort. It certainly raises the image of green motoring. Check it out!

(What the above picture doesn't show is an optional accessory: since the car is too quiet to appeal to the traditional sports car fan, the makers are joking about adding a gizmo to reproduce the sound of a hairy V8. LOL! P.S. This is really happening in other electric cars, for safety reasons - see here.)
