An extraordinary collection of medical ephemera (advertisements, often in journals, for medications, etc.). Great photos and reasonable prices. I'm not the owner of the site. Consider a 1967 print ad for Ritalin (Methylphenidate, CIBA), "Sparks Energy. Relieves Chronic Fatigue and Mild Depression." I think this was before the Controlled Substances Act. Ritalin is now Schedule II (real habit forming). Benzedrine was widely advertised in the 1950's for similar indications. Interesting visual insight on the so-called drug culture of the mid-60's. It's socially acceptable to be a user if you have an Rx (and the MD is your connection).

For reasons not entirely scientific, I like the Kiersey/Myers-Brigg tests better than the Five-Factor Model (the current academic leader). I think the Big Five is somewhat heavy-handed and perhaps better suited to clinical work, pre-employment tests, etc. to screen out sociopaths. Kiersey is better suited to personal development and interpersonal relationships. You can take the Kiersey Temperament Sorter - II test online free. Learn more about David Keirsey's books Please Understand Me and Please Understand Me II (you can also take the tests and understand the results from these books). These books may be avail. at larger libraries. users.viawest.net/~keirsey/difference.html [users.viawest.net/~keirsey/difference.html] helps explain the differences between Keirsey Temperament versus Myers-Briggs Types and what those 4 letter codes (INFJ, etc.) are that you see at groups such as infj.group.stumbleupon.com [infj.group.stumbleupon.com] .

This has most network TV news themes of the past 3 decades. It is (to my knowledge) one of the few places on the net (maybe only) where you can hear this material, because it isn't commercially published (you can't buy it on CD). An exception is an orchestral arrangement of John Towner Williams "Mission - Theme for NBC Nightly News" which is avail. on CD. The broadcast arrangement is different and appeals to me more. You can also hear the erstwhile theme for World News Now (the only Yanni song I ever liked). The best themes (in my opinion) are "The Mission Part IV/Pulse of Events" 1985-2004 (still in use), "NBC Nightly News 1985-2004", "Primetime Live" 1989-1998, and "World News Now" 1992-2001.

This is one of the few really good tours of an L-Carrier Main Station. Most states have at least one. If you know what to look for, this gives you clues to just how vast the underground areas are.
