Deco Dogs Ephemera - Art Deco and Dog Collectibles

An extraordinary collection of medical ephemera (advertisements, often in journals, for medications, etc.). Great photos and reasonable prices. I'm not the owner of the site. Consider a 1967 print ad for Ritalin (Methylphenidate, CIBA), "Sparks Energy. Relieves Chronic Fatigue and Mild Depression." I think this was before the Controlled Substances Act. Ritalin is now Schedule II (real habit forming). Benzedrine was widely advertised in the 1950's for similar indications. Interesting visual insight on the so-called drug culture of the mid-60's. It's socially acceptable to be a user if you have an Rx (and the MD is your connection).
