Listen to xtxzt, U3 is the most annoying software for removable media. It slows down the time to load your flash drive on the computer (because the U3 system has to set itself up and put its little icon in the notification area) and takes up over 100MB of space (on the flash drive; some weird space requirements. File size was about 90MB after uninstalling, the baestards).
While comparatively small when you have a 4GB or so drive, the space isn't worth the tolerance to keep the program. The selection of programs is very small and many of them are trial versions or require payment. Some of the programs even come from portableapps!! (at least they confess).
Save yourself software trauma and headache and uninstall U3, then remove all the files and then get portableapps.
Rust in hell, U3, rust in hell.
