1) I'm a skeptic of traditional religion/custom & wary of pop culture. I seek enlightenment from new & positive attitudes/mindsets. As we assume control over evolution itself in spite of mother nature, we "evolve" to novel preternatural states, for better or worse. We MUST overcome some of our genetically inherent selfish, divine-authority seeking, tribal nature... perhaps even while tweaking our very DNA/MtDNA/etc without spawning grotesque beings or evil spirit. 2) People debate whether pure "evil" really exists in nature or original spirit; I believe ONLY man creates evil, intentionally or accidentally. 3) Many proud, flag-waving, deity-praising neocons even point to social activism as proof that liberals have self-hatred; but I say that self-examination as a species is necessary for our own survival & happiness; fundamentalism & arrogance is increasingly virulant, destructive & *evil*, while intolerant of innovation & diversity... not just in the US, but in the world.
