Great advice from a very talented photographer for LGBT couples, to help them choose a wedding photographer.

Yup. I never like this strawman argument. You act with decency and kindness in society not out of fear, but because that's what makes society function well.
A fascinating story about a man who forged famous works of art and donated them under the guise of a priest. He's not been convicted, because he never sought to profit from his forgeries.
"Dr. Heather Schwartz, policy researcher at the RAND Corporation, also finds that socioeconomic integration trumps extra resources in boosting achievement. In her rigorous study of Montgomery County, Maryland schools, low-income students whose subsidized housing assignments enabled them to attend very low-poverty schools closed more of the achievement gap with their high-income peers than did low-income students in higher poverty schools who received an additional $2,000 -- monies which were devoted to extended learning time, smaller classes and specialized professional development."
If you've ever had a moment of self doubt (and if you haven't I'll bet you're a sociopath) you should read this.
Epic. One of my favorite movies in Legos!
This all makes perfect sense to me and I'm surprised that developers genuinely have to ask. Kudos for emphasizing that women are gamers too--and we're not just playing stupid "games" like Farmville. I know many ladies that will gank you in PVP.
A summary of all the ups and downs in the political field that affected women and the LGBT community in 2012
Very true...
This is absolutely one of the best shows on right now. Here's what sets it apart from from most other political-comedy fare:
"To use a gag-worthy phrase, Bell's gimmick is intersectional progressivism: he treats racial, gay, and women's issues as inseparable. That may not sound hilarious, but when it works it grants him new routes into old topics. In one guest bit, he and the black lesbian comic Wanda Sykes bonded over having white wives. Like Fallon, Bell has a nice-guy vibe, which lends his show the air of a laid-back, welcoming party: when he mistook a sexually ambiguous Comic-Con attendee for a woman, the label "Replay of Shame" appeared over a slo-mo clip--but, refreshingly, the joke was on him, not on the interviewee."
But it's so much more than just that. It refreshing to see a host that's as nerdy as me (plus family and friends) with a sharp wit, taking a jab at topics that normally cause anger. You can relate to him if you've ever felt yourself marginalized in society and you're as committed to all areas of equality for your fellow citizens. Totally Biased helps you let of some steam so you can get down to the nitty gritty and get the hard work rolling.

Funded by a Kickstarter campign, the Two Blokes and a Bus, bring world-inspired cuisine to Bloomington/Normal, IL, in a revamped double decker British bus.
From the article:
"These negotiations are looking like classic 'positional bargaining' brinksmanship," says Patton, also a co-founder of the Harvard negotiation program. And that, he says, tends to promote very little creativity in reaching resolution, and the expectation of "late-night, last-minute compromises."
"The total cost for the Housing First program is approximately $22,000-$24,000 annually per client. That's about $54 a day -- compared to a hospital bed at $1,500 a day, a jail cell at $735 a day, or even a shelter with services that costs $78 a day. Even keeping a person homeless costs more money than a Pathways apartment, if you add up the police trips to jail, ambulance use and emergency room visits."
Based on all of the Boxee hate I've encountered (from people I know, not just in comments on blogs) there might be hope for this little device after it's officially abandoned by the company. I have more faith in the hacking community than I do in Boxee at this stage anyway.
This band has shown tremendous growth in relatively short period on time. I highly recommend them!
No surprises here. It's everywhere you look and it's repulsive that women can only be presented as pretty, with little to no focus on anything else about them. There's a reason I stopped reading magazines at 15, especially "women's" magazines. They are the worst.
"Instead of boosting states' fortunes, the report finds that ALEC's preferred policies seem to provide "a recipe for economic inequality, wage suppression, and stagnant incomes, and for depriving state and local governments of the revenue needed to maintain the public infrastructure and education systems that are the true foundations of long term economic growth and shared prosperity."
From the article "RoboBrrd will teach kids some mechanical and electrical engineering as well as programming. Then they can customize with a bit of crafty-ness and felt and googly eyes. The kit is made of 15 laser-cut interlocking pieces, micro servos, LEDs, sensors and a brain board--which has fun doodles to encourage kids to look closely at it and all the traces and pins. You need to supply your own soldering tools and wood glue and other stuff. Several fun video tutorials--complete with red and green fingernails--will lead makers through the process. Kennedy plans to make more tutorials on additional hacks to the bird. RoboBrrd already has a fun and friendly-looking website with community, games and a Khan Academy's worth of learning videos."
Wow. How horrible.
Ethel is jammin' on the Hammond. What a wild dame! :)
