My husband just returned from 3 weeks at Oak Island, NC where he was visiting his brother who lives there. I had to thumbs this up to spread the word about this horrible tourist trap that keeps a tiger at a truck stop in Louisiana. Animal activists are trying to get the owner to give up the tiger so it can live in more humane conditions instead of in a concrete feces filled cage sucking down diesel fumes.

I have this purple glass doorknob hon! It came from a Victorian house built in mid 1800's. Isn't is lovely to look at? Nice to see others appreciate its beauty as well.

Today finding this site helped me to deal with the passing of my cousin just 2 days ago. I've felt anger over his murder, despair at my daughters loss of the first father she ever knew before we adopted her and a deep emptiness in my heart knowing I can never again see the twinkle in his eyes or get a big bear hug from someone I thought of as my little brother since the day he was born.

Superb article on the history & uses of marijuana & hemp. As a cancer survivor whose own oncologist suggested I try smoking it for the nausea during therapy it was not only a relief from the anguish of illness it helped me relax so I could sleep & increased an ever waning appetite.
While I am an advocate for the legalization of marijuana & hemp use I'm not suggesting its for everyone. I feel there are enough drugs out there that need to be eliminated but I do NOT think marijuana is one we need to fear, and/or regulate. There are no legitimate arguments to suggest that its use is in any way harmful to society & people need to get over it! If you don't want to smoke it don't! But don't blow smoke up my ass if it's something I choose to do.
