Robert Fisk is my favorite journalist and I just love the satire that sings through this piece. I guess like a lot of people I hoped things would be different with Obama. That my nation is trying to squash the UN report noting Israel's ever increasing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Palestine shouldn't surprise me. But it does. It shouldn't surprise me because we're doing many of the same things in Iraq and Afghanistan, which means if Israel is guilty, we're guilty too. So of course we have to bury that and pretend that what we're doing is righteous and correct. There is nothing righteous about the conduct of my nation or Israel in the Middle East. Maybe, as Fisk points out here the Canadians will figure out they need to abandon this train wreck an stop siding with the problem in both areas.

Wow! she's harsher than me but what she says is true. Even if it is blunt.
The real tragedy is this. Because the state of Israel insists upon tying itself to the faith of Judaism, despite the fact there is very little that is Jewish about its conduct, it's inadvertently tainting the image of Judaism and by default, those who identify with the faith culturally or religiously. This is setting up those who call themselves Jewish for future hatred and persecution. It's inevitable. You cannot destroy a people and a country for more than half a century and hope to escape the justice history always delivers. Some realize this and are trying to change it. Most do not and continue to support, act as apologists and promote Zionism. I fear this because I see what happens to people when their eyes are opened about Zionism. They either do something about it or they become so angry that anger turns to hate. Justice is the only way out of this. Unfortunately that is the one exit strategy that is never discussed.

The deal here is resources: gold, oil, diamonds, water and most important, colton which comes from three countries and is necessary for electronics like cell phones to work. We want them. China wants them so rather than fight each other face to face or do the right thing which is to bargain with the owners and set a fair market price without support corruption, our two nations are going to duke it out in Africa. A few will get rich, most Africans will suffer and Americans will continue our disposable lifestyles.

The usual suspects are not to blame this time! This would explain how Turkey was able to prevent the US from officially acknowledging the 1915-16 Armenian Genocide, the first holocaust of the 20th century. 1.5 million predominantly Christian Armenians were gassed, interned in concentration camps, rounded up and killed by the Turkish army.
Oh, you thought the Nazis were doing something unique? No. Nothing that happened in WWII was unique. The players just changed and got sophisticated. Turks put people into caves, sealed them and pumped in C02. These were the first gas chambers. They also built a system of concentration camps and shipped the Armenians to these. Ironically, many of the leaders of the future Nazi government got their start working with the Turks. The denial of the Armenian Genocide is another form of holocaust denial, one the Israeli government, US government and others around the world practice. Guess the victims were the wrong faith. One thing should be clear, hypocrisy rules nations and few act for the means of justice.

Israel is an apartheid state. It's been one since its creation in 1948. Professor Gordon is quite brave to make this statement in the LA Times and the editors of the LA times should be commended for having the courage to print it. Both parties can expect to be attacked by the Israel Lobby over the next several weeks. May God give them strength to withstand it. Bravo!

Thank the US Media for this. That's why I write for foreign papers and I get my news from outside of the US. We don't have news anymore; we have infotainment. (LinkTV and FreeSpeech TV are the exception but you have to have Dish or DirectTV to get it). Still, Link has more viewers than FOX New's top programs so that's encouraging.

Ignorant people lose their rights which is why most Americans don't realize we've moved from a republic to a plutocracy. If you don't know what a plutocracy is, look it up. It's called research and it's time Americans started doing ours :)

Ah yes, money laundering and organ trafficking. One of the best pieces of advice my pastor gave me was this. Always approach those in the clergy with a measure of skepticism as two types of people are attracted to service. Those who truly want to love and support God and those who what to use Him to shield them as they pursue their own desires whether wealth, status, greed, pedophilia and more.

By the way, the stat I last saw shows 2.5% of all clergy, (that includes ALL faiths, not just Christianity) are corrupt. Seems the Rabbis are holding up their end here. Too bad the US media rarely reports it. Of course they'd be called anti-Semitic if they did. Truth is hate to those who hate the truth. Personally, given the activities of the 'Christian Right', I'd have to put that percentage closer to 10%.

I am speechless after seeing this. I watched it this morning on LinkTV.

The US is just as bad as Israel. Well, we haven't built walls yet or created religion only communities, but all the rest, we're as evil and immoral. I know what's said is true. I know enough about South/Central American politics and history from living there and speaking the languages. That my country is so immoral, I know I shouldn't be surprised, but this video really knocked me for a loop. Excellent and every American NEEDS to see it. This is why people hate us and if we did it in 1989 in Panama, we're doing it today in Iraq and Afghanistan. BTW, we're escalating again, Columbia. Also if you take the time to watch this, substitute Castro of Chavez for Noriega. Same game plan. We also used it on Saddam.

Interesting article here about how companies are managing to bypass customs and create fake 'made in America' textiles. End result is Americans losing jobs and people in sweat shops elsewhere are producing products we think are American made, but aren't.
