This is very good news. The following comments by Dershowitz, who is an avowed Zionist, which also makes him an elitist, racist, anti-Arab (which is actually anti-Semitic) and someone who has lost his credibility with anyone educated on the Middle East issues for both his plagiarism and attempts to persecute and defame any professor who speaks about the true facts rather than the Hasbara approved mythology, speaks volumes as to where this American citizen's true loyalties lie. It is instances like this, where a tenured professor discards the best interests of his own nation to support, defend and promote the interests of a foreign nation at an extreme disadvantage to his own, that earn so many of the Jewish faith in the US the label of dual loyalties. I think he makes it clear, dual is not his problem. He is loyal to Israel and Israel alone, the US, truth, justice and humanity be damned!
"Alan Dershowitz, Harvard Law School professor and prominent pro-Israel advocate, said that to protest the vote he will attempt to mobilize 1,000 American university professors of diverse backgrounds to join him in declaring themselves honorary Israeli professors.
"I now consider myself an Israeli professor, and I will act as if I am an Israeli professor," Dershowitz said. "If they boycott Israel," he added, "they're boycotting me."
Well Mr. Dershowitz, the rest of us will be happy to add you to the list of people we will boycott until Israel fulfills its promises to the International Community, withdraws from the Occupied Territories, creates a state where all people are considered equal, ceases its state sponsored terrorism against the people of the Middle East, makes restitution to the victims of 60 years of ethnic cleansing, allows those to return who want to return and starts acting like a global citizen rather than a regional terrorist, pariah and parasite. In other words, when the state of Israel starts behaving toward others as it would like to be treated and ceases making excuses for its abominable behavior, racism, theft and manipulations.
See, the problem is, once you see Israel for what it really is, no person of conscience can support that state as it currently exists. It is impossible because the actions of the state are wholly immoral. We could be waiting for awhile for Israel to either implode and rebuild herself or for those in Israel with scruples to finally become the majority and reverse Israel's appalling policies and practices. This will happen one day. There are enough good people in Israel....in the mean time, at least we won't have to listen to Dershowitz anymore:)
