You know I love satire and Anthony Weiss did a beautiful job on this!

For those of you that don't know, he's referring to the infamous 'Protocols of the Elders of Zion'. This was counter-propaganda campaign instituted by the Czarist Russian government around the turn of last century and based upon the published objectives of a group called the Illuminati, which were exposed, outed and disbanded in the 1870's by if memory serves, a German journalist; but I'm not sure about his nationality.

What the Russian equivalency to the Secret Service did with the objectives was insert 'Jewish' for the money men and bankers, (who some were of course). This was done to turn people against the Jewish population in Russia, which increasingly a small group was going up against the Czar. Several attacks on Russian Royalty resulted in a number strikes against Jewish villages, which are often referred to as pogroms today. The Protocols served to turn people against the Jewish population by associating them with nepharius activities, violence, hate, terrorism and ultimately the drive to control the world, (sound familiar?)

It's the same rational used today by Israel against the Palestinians, especially in Gaza. Punish the whole rather than the few and spread rumor and terror within the population to dehumanize an entire people thus justifying a disproportionate response to what under international law, is acceptable...defending ones home, family and livelihood from an occupying and repressive conqueror. The Russians used the Protocols and the US and Israel use FOX, ABC, CBS, CNN and NBC to the same end. Only it's just not so obvious today.

This is a great piece of satire. Perhaps people will see how today we still use protocols, only this time the target is Muslims.

Like most Americans I've noticed a marked decline in the quality of our products.

They're marking this as satire but he really is serious and his message is germaine to how we currently deal with issues. Most Americans worship money and consumerism. Celebrity-ism is a byproduct of this mindset. Shop, shop, shop!!!
I especially like his slam on Starbucks. The reason is Starbucks has stores in the illegal settlements of the West Bank and is an active supporter of Israeli Apartheid. Their founder also gives substantially each year from his profits to Israel, funds which help to support the occupation, apartheid and the slow genocide of an entire people.

I'm loving it! Sometimes satire is the best vehicle for getting through society's collective cognitive dissonance. This piece by Dilbert's author is right on and the Zio-Zappers have their panties in a bunch over it. Maybe it's time someone gave them a good wedgey? Giggles
