This concerns every person in every nation of the world. Israel and the United States have decided that international law doesn't apply to each anymore, but both nations are having a little trouble because both nations are in direct violation of International law. The solution? Declare it obsolete and re-write it. The example given here of using human shields is a deception. What Israel is referencing is urban warfare and fighting against an invading army from the buildings and locations the invading army is invading. This is what Israel defines as a 'human shield'. The law defines human shield as using a civilian or civilians purposely to place a buffer before your troops so that the civilians are shot at before you, what Israel and the United States both do in Iraq and Palestine under the guise of 'searching for terrorists'. What both nations are attempting to do is to make it a war crime for an invaded or occupied people to conduct guerrilla warfare from populated areas, basically disarming any resistance to occupation, oppression and bruit force.
This will also apply to domestic issues. History shows consistently that the tactics an imperial nation uses upon citizens abroad eventually become the tactics it uses on its own citizens. The day will come when the American (and perhaps the Israeli people) will decide the blood diplomacy of their respective governments and the accompanying increased restrictions to their own lives at home are too high of a price. That is when they begin to demonstrate and fight back and that is when these laws then give the military the authority and legality to kill, crush and destroy their own people. That is what is at stake here. That is why every citizen of planet earth needs to know about this because such changes can and will be applied to all of us should we as citizens find it necessary to reign in rogue governments in the future.
This tactic of changing the laws to suit objectives, morality be damned, is exactly what the Nazis, Communists, Kings and other rulers have done since time began.

From the page: "INDEX ON ILLEGAL US WEAPONS IN LEBANON "

So when the my country finally exhausts its resources, over extends itself and Israel finds another superpower to burrow into and feast off of, expect the following issues to find their way into some sort of international tribunal on war crimes. We've (US) already lost all respect and credibility in the world. Next step, imperial implosion.

And just in case the Zio-zappers pay me a visit again and decide I'm not fair to Israel or worse, Ran HaCohen does a beautiful job of documenting a fraction of the various violations Israel continued to make against Lebanon after it withdrew, (kind of like it 'withdrew' from Gaza and kind of like the US 'withdrew' from Iraq in 1991...in both cases both nations never ceased bombing, controlling and terrorizing).

And as usual, Raimondo weighs in with an equally scathing indictment. I think it's time to see what Ran HaCohen is up to. When he puts out pieces, they're always excellent...but he doesn't do it very often.

    Oh anticipation...

This blogger's been doing his work and must have links to over 700 articles on the Middle East, some of which I've read and many I have not. Go down the left column and click away. I'm going to be here a while!

The article highlighted is very important because it deals with the rights of occupied people, (this would be in Palestine, Afghanistan and Iraq) to form and carry out resistance by whatever means possible against the occupier within the occupied territory and outside of it. These laws were created to protect the resistance fighters of the Warsaw Ghetto and the partisans who did not have a 'country' but were fighting an occupying army. What it means is that the 'insurgency in Iraq' and the 'so-called terrorists' in Palestine are in line with international law and global realms of morality. The US, Israel and the nation's assisting us in occupying and deposing these movements, are not. We (Israel, the US, Britain and our 'allies') are in fact committing severe war crimes and crimes against humanity in all three areas as defined by the laws WE created.

    Really good synop.

One the seven issues I've been researching for an upcoming book is Immigration, both legal and illegal. Aside from the hot button issues being used to, (in my opinion) vilify Hispanics specifically but immigrants as a whole in the US is the issue of human trafficking which is most commonly associated with the sex industry but also applies to sweat shops and a whole host of other slave or near slave labor situations. I was surprised to discover that nearly 1 million people a year are victims of human trafficking in the US alone and over 49 countries are involved. The tougher the economy gets, the more people become involved in this. Low risk and very profitable, and very hard to prosecute. Something to learn about.

Dr. Mohamed Mattar has several great articles and speeches on this site. You'll learn a lot about a very big subject that rarely is discussed or acknowledged.

    Iran, Bush & Nuremberg
Another good summation. Common theme on most issues I've posted today appear to be "Bush doesn't like laws or agreements so he rewrites them to make his actions legal". This gives you a run down of just some of the laws Bushy has broken. Guess what, he's a bonified war criminal. ( I think that outranks felon).

The Bush philosophy: Change the law so the action is no longer wrong, immoral or inhumane?

Yeh right. You buying that? I'm not.
