Excellent film anyone concerned over US policy and our election process should see.

Being over here in England and having spent time earlier this year in Saudi Arabia I am consistently amazed at how the rest of the world seems to know more about American politics than Americans. It's almost like this is a sport, but more serious. Most common comment? 'Please, vote well. You're not just voting for yourself. You're voting for us too!' They pay attention because what we Americans do, the 330,000,000 of us of whom less than 110,000,000 seem to vote (and that is generous) increasingly determine how the rest of the world will suffer. What makes this even more frightening is films like this showing how, even if we choose well, it may not matter. I keep wondering what it is going to take to make Americans mad enough to act. That's one of the reasons I've left the country for awhile. Oh, I'll vote come November. The question is, given it will be on an absentee ballot cast in England, will my vote even be counted. Very frightening.

It's too bad the US mainstream media won't carry this kind of interview. Paul pretty much nails what myself and many others are thinking. We had hope for Obama, but as the campaign has gone on, he's gone more and more to the right and chosen to stick with the status quo on all aspects of foreign policy. Without a complete re-do of our foreign policy, nothing can change at home so it's four more years of the same.

If anyone has any doubt that Joe Biden places Israel before the US, look at what he says about the most damaging spy in US History, Pollard. That's treason in my opinion and this man has no business being in US Politics. He'll strip our rights consistently yet free spies. Why don't Americans get this?
He's proud to be a Zionist, which is basically a belief in white Jewish supremacy. To be a Zionist one has to believes non-Jews do not have the same rights as Jews and being Jewish makes one superior to all others so therefore the rules of society and civilization do not apply if it benefits white Jews. Then there is the racial element of Zionism which also discriminates against the original ancestoral Arab Jews and Jews of color. As my Sephardic friends, (Arab/Semitic Jews) have told me on many occassions, this is Zionism and it is Racism on steroids. Really disgusting.

I've loved John Cusack since I first saw him in The Adventures of Natty Gahn. Loved him even more when I found out we were born a few hours apart from each other on the same day. Now I'm really adoring him for seeing through McCain...unfortunately Obama's choice for VP has left me reeling. Over 1 million dollars Biden's received from the Israel Lobby alone. Bought and paid for which means nothing is going to change because our foreign policy isn't going to change. Without that changing, no money for anything back home. Looks like I'll be voting Libertarian or Nadar this fall because I can't vote Mc Cain and can't vote for Obama now either. After Cheney, don't tell me the VP is MIA or on the QT. As an American I kind of expect our politicians to place their loyalty with the US first, last and always rather than foreign countries. Which means I expect them to turn down funds from groups obviously representing foreign nations, no matter how newspeak chooses to redefine reality. Too bad.

For those of you outside of the US watching this horse race, it is not surprising that Romney won Nevada. In fact I would have called that. The second largest group of people in Nevada are the Mormons. He's got two more states he may take: Utah and Idaho which also have a strong Mormon majority but then it's over.
Why? The overall Christian population of the United States won't allow a practicing Mormon to become president. Mormonism is considered a cult by most Christians. This is the reason why. And given the strength of the evangelical Christians, (which at least those subscribing to dispensationalism, Christians like me consider a very dangerous cult), no Mormon would make it to that high of office. Same can be said currently for most other faiths in the US. That's just the way it is here whether people like it or not. I don't even think with the worship of Jewish people by the dispensationalists that a Jewish person could attain President either at this time. Especially given dual citizenship in Israel. Despite what we Americans say, our actions don't always match our ideals.
However, Ron Paul's showing is a pleasant and welcome surprise. #2. I have a feeling on February 5th, the neocons will be in for a surprise. In the meantime, expect the US media to bury this.
Edwards thou, as this opinion piece states support for is someone I couldn't vote for. He's bought and paid for by The Israel Lobby and several other special interests and I can't vote for anyone who places the interests of a foreign nation, any foreign nation before the needs and interests of the United States. Ron Paul, Kucinich, Gavel and I'm still trying to gauge Obama were/are the only candidates not subservient and who have not pledged their solidarity to the Israel Lobby. I believe our candidates should represent only the US. Last time I looked, Israel wasn't the 51st state and as an apartheid regime discriminating based on faith and race, it never could be.
