This is more prevalent than most realize and it's a direct result of making corporations 'human', that is giving them rights and personhood in the US. Healthcare debate is the current darling of the astroturf groups. Ignorance reigns where questions are few.

What I find telling here is their interrogation of people, not just Emily but others, about Hezbollah. That should have nothing to do with the US. Only one country in the world has issues with Hezbollah and that's because Hezbollah won't let them steal anymore land. So why, of all the organizations out there, are Homeland Security interrogators focusing on Hezbollah? It's a nationalist movement and no threat to the US. Hmmm

Now that I'm traveling substantially and my passport shows a lot of countries in the Middle East, Europe and Asia, I'm always afraid re-entering the US and I keep my attorney friend in LA with Offices in NY as well on alert each time I re-enter. Usually I'm pulled aside for a more thorough screening. My bags are always opened and riffled through, (this last time they destroyed some computer equipment and spilled liquid all over my research DVD's) and I've had to actually throw away suitcases to make a plane because security hassled me. It's quite distressing. My family arrived in the US in 1692. I'm a daughter of the American Revolution and every generation of my family has served in our military. With the exception of Native American Indians, whom I do consider the only absolute Americans, I'm as American as it gets. Yet I'm also increasingly terrified of my own government, which is why I'm currently residing overseas.

    Wow--
The list of people on here are exactly the people who do know what is going on. This is a radio station that focuses on Constitutional issues, (one of which is the Mayor of Salt Lake lambasting Bush & Co) plus Joe Banister, Ron Paul, Karen Kawatoski...yep...good stuff here

As the primary elections draw closer I'm noticing those funny little divides in America over peripheral issues like Gay marriage, health care and abortion. Yes, in my twenties I joined the sheeple (Sheep People) and voted according to a candidate's stand on abortion, (we're called 1-issue voters). What is frightening is that even then I was better informed than 90% of the population and still I didn't get it. The above issues really have nothing to do with the big issues. To begin with, according to our constitution, these are all issues which should be decided and administered on a state level, not national. Therefore they are irrelevant in national elections. They serve as distractions. The big issues are laid out in the Bill of Rights. The fact is, without the Bill of Rights, the first 10 amendments to the Constitution, it really doesn't matter where you stand on Gay Marriage, health care or abortion. Without those rights, these can be given or taken away at will by whoever is in power.

The Constitution also separates power, giving each of the 3-branches of government equal influence. Without this we end up with a nation ruled, not led. Currently this is the agenda of most of the Presidential candidates, to acquire more power for themselves so they can do what they want. How do we know this? Since WWII every president continues to invoke privileges never intended by the Constitution. Bush II has taken this further than any other, but they've all done it, even Kennedy. Congress continues to bust out of its seams, with larger and bigger staffs devoted to courting lobbyists and continues to spend less and less time with the people they are supposed to represent. Ironically being in the Senate and Congress is intended to be a part-time job.

This editorial highlights the real issue before the American people in this next presidential election: Shall we remain a republic and follow our constitution or shall we allow those in power to continue to destroy it, impose their will and lead us down the road of imperialism, conquest, dictatorship and ultimately as happens to all nations who follow this path, our destruction. The American people are being set up. It's as plain as the nose on your face if you simply open your eyes.

Governments always take your rights by attacking the fringe groups first that the majority of people are either apathetic toward or have a bias toward. In Nazi Germany it started with the mentally ill, homosexuals and handicap. Later it progressed to persons of color, those with unconventional lifestyles (gypsies) and those with disputes (Poles and Communists). Last but not least, Jews and Christians who refused to accept the Nazi conventions of normality were added. In the United States, a frenzy of hatred is being whipped up against immigrants...especially those from poor nations. These people are being used as the excuse for national ID's, border walls, additional prisons and extremely invasive background checks for all Americans. When people aren't convinced by the 'illegal immigrants' argument, the 'threat of terrorists' is thrown in for good measure and another 30% of people fall in line.

The homosexual community's targeting isn't quite as clear cut. Propaganda states homosexuality or bisexuality is a condition you're born with and the homosexual community is attempting to make it a civil rights issue with substantial success since most Americans don't research facts and take sound bytes, repeated add nauseam, at face value. Science however says it is a behavior and choice with over 50 studies in the past 35 years all coming to this same conclusion. Yes this fact is rather inconvenient to the movement's agenda which is total acceptance and endorsement of their lifestyle choices, behavior and preferences. It's why it is never mentioned and why the argument is always positioned as `we can't help it' and `we're victims of bigotry'.

This is the first thing I heard this morning when I woke up and it terrified me. The way this government operates, anyone who opposes their agenda 'threatens the peace or stability of Iraq' by simply speaking out against the policies. This means the US government can begin attacking opponents to their agenda as security risks for disclosing the many lies, false statements, fear-mongering and manipulations used by this government.
And, this executive order paves the way for additional orders, (for your security and safety of course) that further erode your rights, prevent you from acting on what you think is right AND serve to pit your need for self-preservation and your possessions against their agenda...the ultimate price.
Very scary stuff here...if you read between the lines...and with Bush & Co, that is the ONLY place the truth and intentions lie.

Ironically when I was much younger and naive I met the Senator in Santa Monica and shook his hand. Had I known what I know now, for example that at the time he ran for Vice President he held both a US and Israeli passport, (somethig I consider a conflict of interest that any member of our state, local or federal government should have dual citizenship and/or dual passports). I haven't checked to see if he still has an Israeli Passport since 2001 but I'm going to assume he still does. If I had known what a racist he is, what an elitist he is, that he's serving two masters in our government and how anti-Constitution he is, I would have never gone to meet him and I would have never voted for Al Gore in 2000 which I considered the lessor of two evils back then. Fortunately, thou at the time I was a registered Republican, Bush hadn't fooled me...but Lieberman had.
This is just another example of how much Lieberman wants to control the American people. No, I do not want cameras everywhere. This is suppose to be a free country and part of that freedom is anonimity. I do wonder what it will take for the American people to finally wake up thou. Big Brother has arrived.

    Thanks for this Avmoor--

Does it strike anyone strange beside me that we even debate the use of torture on people. How far have we slid from our founding principles, morals and values. I don't remember anything in the Gospels, the founding principles behind American values...at least until about 50 years ago, that says, 'Thou may torture and hurt others if you think it is justified'. In fact I seem to remember something about, "That which you do to the least of your brethren you do unto me". That's Matt: 25, toward the end of the chapter.

That's also one of those passages the Christian Zionists who do support this kind of torture, (Currently Israel is the only nation where torture is legal, promoted and liberally used) seem to think Jesus didn't mean for them, or for the people he was talking to. They say it is for some future generation who will need to hear these things after they're 'raptured', (another thing not in the bible or part of the Christian faith).
I'm so sick of these people making excuses for immorality and justifying their actions as if the rest of us our too dumb to understand the difference between justice and revenge, good and evil, God like and of satan. Unbelievable.

I haven't confirmed this is legit and I have not read the full bill but if this is the case, is there anyone out there that still thinks we are fighting in the Middle East to protect our freedom? Or that the immigration issue isn't being used as an excuse to tag, track and monitor every single one of us?
If you still believe we're fighting for our freedom and the immigration debate is about getting rid of illegal immigration, God help you. By the time you figure this out, we won't have a Constitution and freedom will be one of those quaint words like gay with a new meaning.

Chabad Lubavitch is an ultra-orthodox Jewish organization that Senator Joseph Lieberman belongs to. It is directly responsible for the ratification and inclusion of the 7 Noahide Laws by President Bush Sr. in 1991 and the subsequent reaffirmation of these laws through 'National Education Day' by President Clinton and then President Bush Jr into official US policy.

These laws are an invention of the 2nd Century AD first draft of the Babylonian Talmud, codified completely in the 6th century AD. Basically they create a system of Laws that make non-Jewish People, specifically Christians, illegal.

No I'm not kidding. That's how hateful and dangerous these laws are and they are part of US Law.

These laws promote incest as okay (the gloss over sounds nice and pretty. The fine print is as evil as evil can be) if it is a father and daughter. These laws say that anyone who disagrees with these laws, fails to uphold them or challenges a rabbi, should be put to death. These laws say Christians are idol worshipers, (the Aleinu, the final prayer each day said by Orthodox Jewish people calls for the elimination of Christianity. In the Middle Ages they used to spit at the point which numerically represents Jesus Christ. Just get a hold of the ArtScroll Siddur, the Orthodox Prayer book in English and Hebrew. All of this is explained. The conservative, reconstructionist and reform movements in Judaism have removed the specific lines calling for, (and likely have no clue what I'm talking about) the destruction of Christianity and its removal from this earth. However, the Orthodox and Ultra-orthodox still pray for this daily and Senator Lieberman knows exactly what this prayer means and exactly what the phrase 'To perfect the World' means on the Congressional medal of honor, which is in Hebrew. Another Talmudic indication to the destruction of Christianity, a necessity in their eyes for a 'perfect world).
This movement that this article speaks of is very dangerous to America because it seeks to destroy our Christian foundations and replace it with Talmudic foundations. They're having a lot of success. In the past 50 years, our legal system has gone from a Christian common law based system to a Talmudic exception based system.

The Noahide Laws are part of US policy now. They have been since 1991. The question you should be asking is, why are Rabbinic religious laws part of US policy? 2) What exactly was Senator Joseph Lieberman's objective in pushing these through? He's a senator. They are unconstitutional and make Christianity, Hindu, Buddism and most other faiths illegal and punishable by death in the US. He knows this. He pushed these through. Why?

You're not going to like the answer and you'll find the few sources out there on the internet that can help you understand this, many have disappeared. Unfortunately many are radical right wing or white supremacist sites. My knowledge of this comes from a man who used to be an ultra-orthodox Jew, used to 'hunt down' converts to Christianity to bring them back to Judaism until one day he saw the light and after several years of study realized he'd been lied to by the faith, its rabbis and history. That the texts in the Torah had been changed by rabbis several times and he converted to Christianity about ten years ago. He's a translator of Hebrew, Aramaic, Spanish, English and Greek by trade, a talmudic and biblical expert and he's has his life threatened on several instances for exposing this. He's also a person of color and not a 'white supremacist'.

This is real. It is very scary. Again ask why. One requirement is that 'they' be in power and 'they' is defined as Orthodox Jews, (specifically Orthodox...they look down on the other Jewish movements). When they are in power, according to the Noahide Laws, all must abide by them or die. Pleasant. Again, ask yourself WHY Senator Lieberman found it necessary to push these through.

This is a must read book which will both scare the hell out of you and get you fighting mad to save this country from itself. I'm really glad I read 'A Game as Old as Empire' by Haitt and Perkins (Confessions of an Economic Hitman) immediately before starting this book. The two significantly strengthen each other and Chalmer's chapter on the Roman Empire and British Empire's as compared to the new American Empire is chilling. This book fills in the rest of the blanks to the whole direction the US is heading in and why a nation focused on military conquest and remaking the world cannot stay a republic. It requires ultimately relinquishing the empire, (as the British did) or replacing republican rule with tyranny and dictatorship, what happened to Rome, Spain, Nazi Germany and most other empire builders of the past.
