    A friend brought up a good point about 911 that does cause one to pause. If in fact the US Government was materially involved in staging and executing 911, why hasn't a single whistle blower come forward in 7 years? This is unprecedented, given past incidents. People just can't keep quiet; it's human nature. Especially with something that cost the lives of 3,000 people directly and over 1 million indirectly overseas. The guilt card alone would override any threats or fear. 911 is an event which is used as an excuse to decimate the US Constitution, undermine American sovereignty and justify invasions of other nations. Yet still no whistle blower. This is not normal seven years later.

    I do believe the US government, that is members of it, staged 911. I also concur with experts I've consulted that it is likely, given evidence that bin Laden or other groups may have been planning something using a plane and buildings which was picked up on international chatter. This would provide a proper excuse, the requisite bad guy and someone to divert attention to. I also believe Mossad and perhaps other intelligence agencies were monitoring the plans and took evasive action to protect their own. This would explain the Odigo text messages and other irregularities involving Israeli interests and the Twin Towers. I do not believe the state of Israel was directly involved thou concerns for it and loyalty to it from members of the US government were likely one of the reasons for 911.

    Bottom line, there is no way, given US security, attacks the magnitude of 911 could come to fruition without someone or a group of people within the US government orchestrating the contingencies. But if that is the case, where are the whistle blowers? Very disconcerting.

    From the page: In what appears to be another disturbing case of Internet censorship, the major email server Yahoo.com has blocked the delivery of our February 20th newsletter, "Vital 9/11 Information Provides Solid Evidence of Major Cover-up." Two of our regular subscribers who use Yahoo independently notified us that the above email was "not allowed - UP Email not accepted for policy reasons." They have not had problems with other emails sent by us. This statement appears to indicate that the email was blocked because of its title and/or content. We suspect that Yahoo has adopted a policy against its customers receiving information about the 9/11 cover-up. We've heard from various sources that they are not allowing other sensitive political messages as well.

    Watching Link TV this evening "Truth Lies and the Press" and wouldn't you know it, the big story in Central Asia right after 9/11 was the connection through confirmed FBI reports of a Pakastani general forwarding 100K to Atta, thus throwing the trail off of al Qaida. I had not seen this yet. The only mention of it in 2001 was in an opinion piece, online for the Wall Street Journal. We continued to focus on excuses to go after Bin Ladin, Iraq and Afghanistan. Good compilation of articles here on this subject. Have fun!

    Leland puts together some interesting links and business associations surrounding 911 that are worth reviewing here. Most I knew of, some I did not.

    The protocols are mentioned. Keep in mind these were originally published in Europe during the 1870's when a group of wealthy men (Illuminate) were discovered to be playing on the world stage and an investigative journalist uncovered their bylaws, exposed them and then the group was outlawed, (though many suspect they continued on more covertly). At the time they did not include mentions of faith. That happened later making the protocols, rewritten as The Protocols of the Elders of Zion a farse. The Russian secret police was behind the additions of Judaism to the ideas and they were created to cast suspicion on the Jewish communities in Russia because the majority of people advocating change (revolution) were Jewish. These people were increasingly advocating the overthrow of the Tzar and doing a lot of low-level sabatoge against the state, (we'd call it terrorism today). I believe the Protocols were thoroughly discredited in 1921 (though I cannot recall which US publication did the investigation and discovered the roots of this propaganda stunt off hand. Antony Lowenstein covers the Russian additions well in his new book, "My Israel Question") and shown for what they were--a deliberate attempt to vilify a group of people by faith.

    Seems we do the same today with Islam...should we expect a "Protocols of the Imam's of Mecca" sometime in the future?

    When researching a story journalists pay particular attention to the real-time reports and articles of the first few days of an event. During this time, before the propagandists have the ability to mold a story toward their objectives, the truth and facts often emerge from the chaos. An example of this is the now accepted spin about the twin towers collapsing due to the heat of the airline fuel. This spin ignores the explosions which occured and were heard by several on the scene reporters and it forgets about another detail. If jet fuel caused the towers to collapse, how do you explain building seven's implosion which was not hit by a plane? And why would Silverstien, the owner of the World Trade Centers order the demolition of building seven? How did they accomplish this by 5PM that day when it usually require weeks of pre-planning to determine where the explosives go, not to mention the time to place them which nobody witnessed...they did this in the matter of a few hours and prefectly executed the demolition? Hmmm

    Fred Burks has gathered a number of verified quotes from the media on 9/11 that make very interesting reading and bring up some very good questions. Absent are the arrests of several Israeli intelligence groups on nine eleven and over the next few days, (Odigo's IM's instructing two employees not to go to work that day, the five dancing Israelis in New Jersey and the three arrested with the moving company a few days later all had direct ties to the events of 911). I once asked Burks why his group never approaches Israeli issues and he wrote back that enough people covered them and they are too controversial.

    With over 1/3 of Americans now believing the US government was directly or indirectly involved in 9/11 and the FBI's refusal to charge bin Laden with the crime due to lack of evidence, intense scrutiny by every American is called for. This article is a good place to start.

    Kevin Barrett believes the U.S. government might have destroyed the World Trade Center. Steven Jones is researching what he calls evidence that the twin towers were brought down by explosives detonated inside them, not by hijacked airliners. These men aren't uneducated junk scientists: Barrett will teach a class on Islam at the University of Wisconsin this fall. Jones is a tenured physicist at Brigham Young University. The movement claims to be drawing fresh energy and credibility from a recently formed group called Scholars for 9/11 Truth. Publicity over Barrett's case has helped boost membership to about 75 academics. Some are well educated, with degrees from elite universities such as Princeton and Stanford and jobs at schools including Rice, Indiana and the University of Texas. Members of the group don't consider themselves extremists. They simply believe the governmnt's investigation was inadequate, and maintain that questioning widely held assumptions has been part of the job of scholars for centuries. Daniel Orr, a Princeton Ph.D. and widely published retired economics chair at the University of Illinois, said he knew instantly from watching the towers fall that they had been blown apart by explosives. David Gabbard, an East Carolina education professor, acknowledges this isn't his field, but says "I'm smart enough to know ... that fire from airplanes can't melt steel." Judy Wood, until recently an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Clemson University, has been cited by conspiracy theorists for her arguments the buildings could not have collapsed as quickly as they did unless explosives were used.

Republican Thomas Kean and Democrat Lee Hamilton also say in "Without Precedent" that their panel was too soft in questioning former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani -- and that the 20-month investigation may have suffered for it. The questioning of Giuliani was considered by Kean and Hamilton "a low point" in the commission's examination of witnesses during public hearings. "We did not ask tough questions, nor did we get all of the information we needed to put on the public record." In their book, which goes on sale Aug. 15, Kean and Hamilton recap obstacles they say the panel faced in putting out a credible report in a presidential election year, including fights for access to government documents and an effort to reach unanimity.

    This is actually a good compilation of past newspaper reports I've seen and read from around the world on 911 and the possibility Isreal knew about it ahead of time...some assert, given the PNAC Clean Break paper they may have been involved. That's still circumstantial.
    My own view is that Israeli intelligence knew about the plot and like with the bombing of the Marine Barracks, chose not to tell us anything concrete because for Israel, this would be a good thing. We'd then take on their enemies as ours, which we did. I also believe members of our own government were privy ahead of time. Rice's call on September 10 to San Francisco mayor Willie Brown, telling him not to fly on the 11th is just one of many pieces of rather damning evidence suggesting we knew about this and allowed it (or facilitated) its happening.
    This is a good review...some of the facts we often forget over time. He's got his facts right...especially about Promis, which I learned about in depth from a big fat book on 1980's/1990's US/Israel espionage operations. Can't remember which off the top of my head, (I've got and read at least 20 books on the subject).
