This was unexpected. Two of my favorite albums from 2010 brought together in this creative mashup by Wick-It The Instigator. At first I was skeptical about how he could pull it off due to Big Boi's unique flow and the Black Keys melodies. Surprisingly, its a masterpiece. Maybe if there's a Blakroc 2, Big Boi will make the roster. Consider this an early Christmas gift. Dopeness..

i love it when a new artist just goes for it. Oakland artist Mara Hruby does just that on this debut EP where she covers a few notable artists who's songs have represented a moment in her life. Her inspirations include Mos Def, Andre 3000, Jamiroquai, D'Angelo, Van Hunt and more. Mara Hruby is definitely on my radar for more to come. Check her out and support the artist.

Cody ChesnuTT was gracious enough to put out this EP that features some of the tracks we've heard over the past few months. Though this is only a 6 track album, it makes alot of noise and lays the foundation for what we can expect from his upcoming full length album "Landing On A Hundred" due out in 2011.
