I nearly forgot about these guys after hearing them years ago on John Peel but not having any of their work. With my new broadbandification I was watching the first ever episode of Adam and Joe and the victim of their "Vinyl Police" raid was Cerys Matthews and I spotted amongst her colletion of vinyl a Ty Gwydr album.
A bit of a convoluted route to the point I'm afraid, suffice to say that these guys rock, and despite any preconceptions you may have, Welsh language music is bloody good. Dammit, look at all them choirs they got!
And if this has sparked an interest, I heartily recommend checking out the following, apologies for any mispellings, it's only my surname's that welsh!

First series of Vic Reeves Big Night Out at 4 On Demand. All your favourite characters from the Reeves & Mortimer stable at their original best. For some reason R&M seem to do there best work in 2 series, this, smell of R&M etc... Also, Shooting Stars is a good example of something that should have stopped after 2 series.

Right, I'm probably gonna get a whole lot of stick for this but I really don't care. I didn't grow my hair as a gorram fashion statement. Embodying the true ethos of prog rock though rejection it's appellation, I present The Enid, in the region of the summer stars. I like it.
