Around 96% of the languages of the world are spoken by only 3% of people, and language extinction occurs at teh rate of about one per week.

Now a team from the neatherlands are carefully documenting more than 70 languages and the culture in which they were created â€" from Iwaidjan in the Cobourg Peninsula in Northern Australia and Totoli in Sulawesi, Indonesia, to Gorani in Northwest Iran and Awetí in Mato Grosso, Brazil.

"They sheathed the entire building in Italian Carrara marble, the same Italian quarry Michaelangelo used for his masterpiece David.
