Happily married grumpy old fart, saddest part of my life is losing friends and loved ones along the way, the happiest parts of my life have been my wife and children (if i'd known how much pleasure having children can be i'd have had three times as many and started a family a lot earlier)...
my other passion and highlight has been motorcycle road racing the thrill of which you just can't attain in any other sport not even motor racing, the Isle of Man holds memories i treasure also the first time i rode out at Brands Hatch racing school on a 350 Ducati single and my first race which was an open 1000cc on a production 750 Honda at Snetterton.. all the Japanese bike guys in the paddock said "Use the electric start we all do" but they forgot to tell me to wait until the first push started bike fires up to hide the sound of the starter motor....boy was i embarresed as i shot of the line in first place, i had to throttle off after a couple of laps so as not to feature in the results...lol.
