I agree there has been an increase in intelligence due to the Internet and availability of information and culture, however, I disagree with how these conclusions were drawn. It is trying to imply that those who listen to opera, classical music, go to the theater, universities, read classics, etc., and engage in what was once defined as upper class activities are more intelligent...absolute rubbish. There are many genres of rock now that are highly complex and intelligent in their creation, self taught geniuses, modern intelligent reading material, etc., and doing what the rich do, does not indicate intelligence in any shape or form. I know a lot of idiots that listen to classical music.

This article was rather amusing to me, as it seems researchers 'discovered' that the shortest words have the most meanings. Duh, of course ROOT words would have more meanings. So much research is done on the obvious, but I guess it is money in their pockets.
