today you're 25
i made you something fine
its in the palm of my lil hand
you're mostly what i think about
and im proud
ive been coasting
on this singles route
but i still hear your name
in wedding bells
will i look better or will i look the same
rotting in hell
you're the only proper noun i need
my copper crown's gone green
pull me on out of this tree
im stuck up a branch
clearly caught between
two things unclear to me...
She opened up the throttle and our small fiberglass boat darted out over the choppy water. Bump upon bumpy wave she hammered it down, getting us the hell out of there. She stared coldly ahead through her oversized sunglasses, her scarf flapping as if it would pull her head off in the wind. It seemed like hours of the two of us being battered by the wind and spray before I realized she had asked me a question. She broke her stance at the wheel and shouted at me louder: "Do you think they'll ever find it"?
"No", I lied. I wondered about the distance growing at that moment. How all things in life could be judged by distances: The deep water swallowing our curse--delivering it to the ocean floor; The distance of the smoldering sun descending in the afternoon sky; The distance she wore on her face now--In this very boat with me. After all we've done, how our dreams were becoming decisions we would live with forever, from this point on. The distance between her and me. The explosions in the distance were closer than her and I at that moment.
The explosions werent even the end. It would get much worse before the end. And to think, it all started with a missing book and a late taxi.
A pancake machine! :D

its good to know they're cracking down on the 14 year olds.
From the page: "NOTES
The next time someone
parks their car
in a way
that annoys you so much
that you feel the need to leave them a note
telling them about it,
you should instead
just write them a note that says-
'Dear Jeff, now I know where to find you.
Don't think I forgot about what you did to my little girl.
I'll be watching you'
Then draw a picture of a knife at the bottom.
This way, if they are not named Jeff
they will certainly reconsider parking
in or around this area so as not to be mistaken for Jeff
and if they are named Jeff, well,
victory is yours."
