Hello!
I stumbled upon stumble upon as I was searching for some of my favorite music from the 1970s when I was in high school. Mid-life does that...causes you to reflect...Any other mid-lifers out there who remember as fondly as I the Concert for Bangladesh?
I attribute that concert to my concern for the less fortunate and for my motivation to work in addressing suffering of children around the world.

The Concert for Bangladesh and especially Ravi Shankar's music inspired me to become an advocate for the world's suffering people...way back in high school in NJ! Bless you, George, for bringing the suffering to light and setting a standard for music as a means of connecting those who can not only empathize/sympathize but can actively participate in addressing the problem.

This is one of the most amazing songs I know. It touches me and makes me cry whenever I hear it. It's simple and beautiful and true. I want this played at my funeral.
