Six15 Technologies has worked closely with their software interface partners, APX Labs and Augmate, in creating their pilot-program.
According to Tim Moore, vice president of marketing, the advantage the Infinity Platform has could very well be a game changer. The company has worked to miniaturize its system so it virtually disappeared into the frame. Better style, the smaller the platform becomes the cheaper will be, making smart glasses a more commercially viable option for eyewear manufacturers.
Six15 Technologies continues to work on the platform with version suitable for consumer eyewear being available in early 2016, just in time for the precedent-setting Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
While it’s taken more than two years to develop Infinity, Six15 isn’t rushing it out before the platform contains all the right bells and whistles. (A rush to market is what some critics say Google mishandled in its Google Glasses).
