Children ask such surreal questions...

The other week my six year old niece asked me the most surreal question I have ever encountered...

"What Happens to Disney Characters When Not On Film"....

The problem is, how do you answer... "I am sorry princess, they do not really exist... Any thoughts you may have had about flying carpets, talking mermaids and happily ever after are in fact pipe dreams! Life sucks, get over it!!!!"... Oh, I was so tempted!.....

Well, before I knew what I was doing, my tongue went into some form of abstract overdrive spasm... I was playing into the whims of a six year old girl's imagination! Did having my daughters reduce me to this stupid, soppy, drivelling mess? Two years ago I would have told her the truth... Sheesh what is happening to me!

Well, just by accident I came across this one. It seemed to justify everything I told her.... Perhaps there is some truth to the surreal fantasy land all little girls tend to inhabit....
