And then, I come here to screw it all up again. Its a process.
I live in the mountains. Life here is slower, more simplistic than alot of places, and I like it that way. Growing up here & being raised the way I was has given me a deep appreciation for all things outdoors; wandering as far back as my feet will take me into the quiet forest, star gazing, watching the shadows dance around a blazing bonfire, skinny dipping in the cool, dark rivers on hot summer nights, gardening & outdoor cooking, are just a few of the things I enjoy. I also love art in all its many forms; music (the spice of life!), painting, poetry, photography, etc, and not only the light and happy, but also things dark & mysterious, and sometimes sad. Art is an expression of life, and in the sum of all those diverse emotions it arouses, the soul awakens, our roots strengthen & we grow. If my day concludes & any of the afore mentioned things were part of it, and Ive had a good chuckle or two, I consider it a day well spent.

I have much love for Neva. She has the ability to pour her heart into a cup that nourishes anyone who is fortunate enough to partake. She makes us feel her through her words; the telling sign of a truly gifted artist. She is perceptive, and deep, and real. We are not of the same blood, and yet, she is my sister.

Wow, this is such sad news to hear. Im lucky that I just got started here a little less than a year ago and have relatively little time invested in my blog so that mostly what I will miss are the friends Ive made here who will be leaving now because of these changes. I feel so bad for those of you who have spent so much time and effort creating such beautiful blogs only to see them torn down. The staff of SU is making a huge mistake.
