Ivy to barbed wire

That kills all that I touch
And makes beauty fade away
It makes me hurt
Pain so great, it makes me
Want to break apart
But it gets bottled up
So it ages, distils and matures
Until it becomes
An even more potent
Poison
I have Darkness inside of me
It's a prison I've made myself
Carved of old pain and fear
That rots me from the inside
I have Venom inside me
Carefully hidden behind years of walls and mask
Behind bars of guilt and grief and blood
So it poisons me alone!...
